Conformal Coating

The coating area applies conformal coating and dispensing. A continuous protective film keeps moisture, salt fog, mould, chemical attack and dust away from the circuitry. Work is zoned by coating chemistry, with masking, coating, curing and inspection each owned by a fixed operator.

What happens here

Conformal coating is more than spraying: the chemistry, the masked area, the film thickness and the degree of cure decide both protection and repairability. We select chemistry and process against the product's environment and build a dedicated masking carrier for each board so connectors, gold fingers and test points stay clean.

Process capability

Selective coatingProgrammed paths spray only the areas that need protection, giving even film thickness and a clean boundary on volume builds.
Dispensing & bondingAdhesive dots secure parts exposed to vibration, balancing mechanical strength with the ability to rework later.
Coating chemistryAcrylic (AR), polyurethane (UR) and silicone (SR) systems, matched to temperature, chemical exposure and rework requirements.

How we control quality

  • Masking check on every board before coating: no residue on connectors, gold fingers or antenna areas.
  • Film thickness and cure controlled to the coating process card, with UV tracer to confirm full coverage.
  • Inspection for bubbles, orange peel, voids and pooling, supported where needed by adhesion and insulation resistance tests.
  • Room temperature, humidity and coating batch number recorded with the work order.

Typical applications

Outdoor and automotive electronics, industrial field equipment, medical instruments, power and energy control modules — anything living in high humidity, salt fog or chemical atmospheres.
